Default Perth animal quarantine centre reopening soon but....

Perth Quarantine is open, but airline routes are few!

Perth quarantine is going to re-open to receive pets from 17th June, which is great news. This however is tempered by the lack of routes down there. Pet shipping sure is an intellectual challenge and luckliy at Petair UK have got the best people in the business to help our clients solve the problems.

The plane has to leave from Heathrow, stop somewhere on the way where the pets will be looked after and safe, land in Perth at a reasonable time for them to be able to collect the pets without them being stuck at Perth airport for too long and does not codeshare with anyone else.

BA - does not fly to Perth - codeshare's with other airlines

Qantas - Perth via Sydney is not an option and transit through dubai with Emirates is not workable

Emirates - really long transit in Dubai.

Cathay - lands too late or too early for pets to be collected and we have to use plastic crates which puts everyone's cost right up

Singapore airlines - Yippee - we have found one. There is a "but", there has to be! They have an extremely long list of breeds they wont fly which includes all the regular fighting dogs, all snub nosed dogs, all terriers and their crosses, all spaniels and their crosses - so pretty much nothing except for Labradors and Poodles. If your dog is a cross then please contact us and we will see if we can recreate your dog as a suitable cross to make the Singapore airlines allowed list.

We have gone to Singapore airlines to try to get them to make their banned breed list more sensible and it is really a case of David against Goliath and unfortunately we are the David character.

If you want to go soon, then contact us soon, if you dont want to go to Perth until the end of the year then hold your horses for about a month and we will keep you updated as news comes about.

Best way to get news is to "like" us on facebook as that is the easiest way to get a message out to lots of people in one go.
