Hello!

We are a friendly couple looking to meet other couples once we hit Perth!
He is 35 and from Devon and I am 27 from Perth Oz (Have been in UK for 3 years now).
We are currently living in Devon but are making the big move in September! S has never been to Australia before so I thought it would be nice if we met up with some couples to socialise with as all my mates are forever single!!

He likes Fishing and motorbikes and I like going out dancing with the girls and shopping! I also love the beach and I am sure S will as well once he gets over the fact he is NOT going to be eaten by a shark lol

We have been married a year and together coming up 3 years by the time we move. We have no children together.

We would def be up for meeting when you get out here, we are Gary (31) and Jo (27). We moved over five weeks ago,now living in the centre of Perth. He is into footie(watching only!!) and obsessed with the latest car that he wants. Im like you, beach and shopping all the way!

Sorry to crash!

My name is Lisa here with my partner Matt both 30, been here just over a year now. OH likes footy and golf and pretends to follow AFL although he can never understand a minute of it. I enjoy shopping, beach and all the usual girlie stuff. Both enjoy going out for a drink, meals etc.We live SOR, always intrested in meeting new people, I'm on facebook but can't seem to find the private message button, maybe I haven't posted enough??

I'm Jo and my husband is Tom and we are planning on moving over in June, although we've yet to confirm a date!
We're living in Dublin although Tom is from Essex. We met in London and I imported him over here about four years ago. We've been married for over a year now and both lost our jobs in December.
Tom likes the footie (he's a very happy and excited Chelsea supporter), cars, Kelly Brook and cars whilst I like going out dancing, going to the flicks, bookclubs, running (although I am quite fat) and gossiping.
Can we jump on board any June/July meet-ups?

can i jump on this thread, myself and hubbie are moving to perth at beginning of June from adelaide, both irish been here two years. all activities such as shopping etc are right up my alleyway!

the ash? pain in the hole but hopefully it'll all have calmed down a bit. We're hoping to get out around early July and visit my mate Maeve in Ho Chi Min City en route for about a week and then straight into Perth for job/flat hunting...

Oh nice the holiday on the way is a great idea calms u down after stress of leaving before u had to do stress of job/house

we're relocating from Adelaide so not as much of a trek as you guys,just wish someone could beam me there now

Have u looked at seek.com.au 4 jobs and realestate.com.au for houses.get the tayto sandwiches/curry chip quota in before you leave!

Sorry to jump in on thread, but we're out in Perth from 19th June to 2nd July on another reccie, staying in Fremantle, would be good to meet up with people who've made the move out already. One of my children will be with us, he's 15 and so if any of you have teenagers it would be good for him to be able to meet up with. We've got a visa app in and hoping that it can be changed to State sponsored in July, in meantime we are stuck on the slow path.
So if there any meet ups during the time we out could we come along?

We are Jo/Joanne/Janna and Nick (Use whichever name you like as there already seem to be several Jo's on here :rofl:. Very confusing!)

I'm 27 and Nick's 29. We have one monster (Ella) who is 4 this July. We would love to meet like minded people who enjoy socialising, beaches, nights in and out etc, etc!

We live NOR in Tapping and have just secured our first rental! If anyone is interested in meeting up, let us know. We are typical people I think, into a whole range of things such as football, movies, cars, restaurants. The list is endless.

If there is anything we can do to help those that haven't arrived yet or even those that are here, let me know! :)

We are in currambine, what about you? The kids would love the opportunity of meeting other little ones and obviously we are also up for meeting new peeps. If we near you it would be good to meet and anyone else too???

We arrived on the 23rd April, so 7 weeks ish. At the moment I'm not working so can meet up most days. Ella is at daycare 2 days a week (wed and fri) so if we are doing a meet up with kids then any other day.

Maybe we should all throw some days together that we can make and see if there is one we can all make? :)

Hi - sorry to jump on the thread but everyone looked friendly!

My girlfriend and I are moving out to Perth in October from London and don't know anyone out there yet so would be interested in meeting up with some people!

Will follow this thread a bit more closely particularly before we land. We're both 27 and generally into anything social.

Hi everyone, I'm Sarah and my partner is Karl, we've been in Perth for almost a year now, and very happy. Karl works FIFO, so looking for some friends to keep me entertained!! Any more meet ups coming up, let me know, although can only do weekends or evenings as I work full time.

Sorry to also jump in also, however my husband (Dan) and I (Katy) in our mid-20s, are also fairly new to Perth and are looking to meet similar minded, easy going people (of which you seem to be on this forum).

Sarah, my husband also fly’s away a lot, he doesn’t work FIFO (as a set) but does spend quite a lot of time working away on sites, I did try to pm you but because I’m new to expect it wouldn’t let me, where abouts in Perth do you live? We live NOR.

KateandStu82 my husband also loves fishing and I’d never been to Oz before we immigrated - but it was defo the best thing we have ever done! It would be great to catch up - please could you PM your FB details and I will try and find you on there. Good luck with all the packing.
