I've found a house is better than a cardboard box, but that's just me.

A very rudimenary search of this forum will give you literally hundreds of threads on Perth. And without any information from you at all, it's impossible for anyone here to give you any kind of advice. Try the search function first then if you can't find what you're looking for come back with some specific questions such as where you're goign to be living, children's ages, type of area you're looking for, budget, etc.

Thanks for the reply. My children at 2 and 7 and my wife works for an investment bank in London. I'm a police officer and will be taking a 5 year career break from work. So I will be taking care of the kids whilst my wife works. I will be looking to find join the police in Perth at some stage

Are you able to move here, do you have a visa? May seem a silly question but it wouldn't be the first time people have started sorting their future lives out without realising quite how hard it can be to get approval.

Does your wife have a job yet? Unless she will be transferred by her employer or already has a job, Perth is not the place to be if you work in financial services. Most banks are based over east, only recently a few have set shop in Perth.

If you have / get a visa, then it will depend on things like budget and what you like doing as a family. For example, is your wife going to be based in the CBD? What sort of commute is she happy to do, Do you want to be near a beach?
