Perth
I've been here a while now but keep seeing posters (who don't live in Perth) telling everyone that Perth is very isolated.
This has confused me, what exactly am I isolated from ? What are other cities close to that I'm not ? What exactly am I supposed to be missing out on ?

Re: Perth
Isolation is surely a personal feeling, you can be surrounded by millions and still 'feel' isolated. I am sure that the people who talk about Perth as isolated are just referring it to its position on the map. I know people there and they don't feel isolated, the only thing they say is that they have to spend a hell of a lot of money getting to other places

They get some over this end somewhere, I think it's NSW.
It's isolated there because you don't have English pubs or English Curries. Well that's what I keep reading on here anyway

It would cost more for me to get to Sydney than if I lived in Adelaide but, then again, it costs me less to get to Bali etc than the other states so it's all relative.
