Default Personal/Carer's Leave

Hi.

Does anyone know if this applies to someone who's wife needs to have an operation followed by about 1-2 weeks of bed-rest and the respective child needs the father to look after him during that period? (Yes, I am talking in the third-person here...)

Cheers.

Default Re: Personal/Carer's Leave

I'm no expert but I'd say yes the fella should definately get family carers leave. On our leave forms at work there are 2 sections for Family carers leave .One with a doctors cert and the other without.I recently took a day off on the Family's carers leave without doctors cert to take my 15 year old daughter to her 1st day at college.
I recon the fella would be sorted if he got a doctors cert for his wife.
