Some one was asking me the other day about this and i didn't know so thought i'd ask here. I'm a teacher at mo and wondering what happens about my pension, also when you start work in Oz what happens there do you automatically pay into a state pension, is there such a thing? Thanks in advance for replies.

State pension here is means tested, you can basically forget it. Everyone here gets a percentage of their wages deducted and paid into a superannuation fund.
