Pension Question, please help
Hello,
Does the pension amount paid after the retirement only depends on the contribution of the person that she/he has ever made when she/he is young?
How about PR who arives and lives in Australia when she/he is already 36 years old? Does the amount of pension paid to her/him equal to the contribution of the PR after she/he arives?
If a PR does not contribute too much because she/he is already old enough (say 40) when she/he arrives in Australia, does it mean that she/he will be miserable during old age when the retirement package is low?
Thanks for any advise or info. It will be much appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Pension Question, please help
Are you speaking of "Aged Pension" if so no the amount of Pension paid has
nothing to do with contributions but everyone is paid the same although
there is a relatively generous mean test. However to be comfortable we
should be making provision for our aged years though personal investment or
superannuation etc.

If the question pertains to Aged Pension (which I believe it is) then you
are wrong
