PC and Computer prices - UK or Oz ?
I have an old Compaq desktop PC and was hoping to upgrade soon. Thing is, are computers cheaper in UK or Australia ?
If they are cheaper in UK I'll purchase now in plenty of time before getting caught for import tax in Oz, otherwise I'll hold on and purchase in Oz.
Anyone know the comparison costs of basic PCs and computers ?

From the Adverts Ive seen Molly you can get a pretty good computer brand new for around $1500 out here. Theres lots of markets ( well in Vic anyway ) where you can pick up a second hand one if you wish.
Not sure about this import tax, I don't remember paying that when I brought my computer out.

Dunno about UK, but I just bought Dagboy a new PC for his birthday, 2.6gig celeron, Asus m/boad, 256 meg Ram, 80 gig h/d, 17 inch monitor, network card, modem, & the usual k/b, optical mouse etc & a DVD burner for $1000.
