Which Pay TV provider?

Which Pay TV provider?
For those already in Aus which Pay TV provider do you use?
The only difference I can see is that Austar offers Setanta in its sports package which Foxtel does not.
Anything else I should consider?
.........anyone who is thinking of replying "watch less TV and get out more" yes, you are right

Depends where live and if pay tv is available in your area. City areas usually have Foxtel, with Austar everywhere else. Some areas may have a choice between the two, so it is best to check with Foxtel to see if pay tv is even in the area. Also, if you live in apartment complex that is not hooked up, you may need to approach the Body Corporate to see if you can hook it up, but in most cases, the whole complex will need to be wired. A guy at work wanted Foxtel hooked up, ok with Body Corporate but one resident then changed her mind and he was refused the ok to do it because the while complex needed to be done.

Foxtel own a large percentage of Austar anyway so it's just their way of getting all over the country. It also depends on the state you're in. For obvious reasons Rugby League doesn't play a huge part in WA/SA/NT TV but is shown a lot in QLD and NSW. And so on You just go with which ever is available where you live.

Re: Which Pay TV provider?
We"ve got Foxtel ... think we pay about $110 per month for the full package but get a couple of pay movies a month thrown in ... I'm a rugby (union)tragic and am going to have to pay an additional $15 per month to subscribe to Setanta to watch the Six Nations but will also get the English Premiership and Magners leagues games plus the entertaining gaelic football and the non entertaining SPL football
I would add that up to a few months ago subscribing to Setanta involved an extra dish, receiver and parting with several hundred $$$
Cheers ... David
