Got our passports back today with our fabulous visas in! - only sent them on thursday.

Anyone tell me is there anything I should check for as I'm sure I've read on here that there have been some mistakes before.

We fly to Perth on the 29th of Sept - it's all booked up now so thats it! Weird feeling now knowing exactly whe you are leaving..just have to save like mad now - after reading the thread yesterday about all the extras thing you have to pay for that we hadn't even thought of!

Yes I remember reading a thread about mistakes.....u need to make sure the number on ur passport matches up with the one on ur visa

Well done, good to see that the passports can get turned around so quickly

I remember a thread that mentioned that you should check that the name on the visas matches exactly with the name on the passports. There were some stories of middle names/initialise being missed out on the visas and this causing some holdups in AUS immigration while various checks were made - probably the last thingk that you'll need after a 20-odd hour flight !

The time will fly between now and September so it is never too early to get organised ( believe me, I know) - and then you can get panicky later safe in the knowledge that you have done everything!

....the visa? around 9 months
..I must say we are feeling pretty lucky about how relatively quickly and smoothly the whole thing has been for us cause I know there are people out there having real strife with it all...
