Passport renewal
We are about to renew our passports as they only have 1 year left until they expire.
We have already submitted photo copies of our old passports as part of our application to DIMIA.
The question is does anybody think this will cause us any problems?
I dont know but I expect the passport numbers will change for example.
Would I need to send the new passport details over to OZ so that the new visa has the correct details on it.
Has anybody else had to do this?

Renewed mine as it had only 9 months left and also had the kids on it from when they were babies. I did it before we filled in the application just to be on the safe side. Maybe you ought to send off photcopies of new passports and explain the situation. Use the reference number they gave you when they acknowledged receipt of your visa application. And hold on to the old passports when you go.. then you can at least prove you were the original holder of that passport number..

Hi iaquia
I read your thread about returning to oz. Are you returning after June? If so it would probably be a good idea to get the wheels in motion now.
If you are returning sooner than June I would think it would be better to wait until you are back in OZ.

ours and the application was submitted in March.
Should i get the kids their own passports soon, or wait for the
