passport question
I am returning to the UK in May for good. My passport runs out in August and my sons runs out in July. We are currently filling out passport renewal forms and have hit a snag. We don't know anyone in Australia that can countersign our photo's as they have to have know us for 2 years. We have only been here since October. Can we travel with only a couple of months left on our passports? or should we get them re-newed before we leave?
Also We are stopping over in Dubai for 2 nights on our way home. Do we have to get visas? Any info would be appreciated. |
Re: passport question
I would have thought that re-entering the country you would be fine.

Re: passport question
Basically - If you were going straight back to the UK without clearing customs then you can travel on your existing passports, however, because you plan on stopping over in Dubai your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the end of your intended stay. No visa required for British Citizens entering UAE - your passport is stamped when you arrive.
There have been other threads on here about countersignature for British Passport holders. |
