Hello, we emigrated to NSW in June last year and are going back to the UK for a holiday in June this year. At the moment our passports still have our british address on them. Does anyone know if this is ok, or do we need to update our passports with our current address before we leave. Thanks.

Interesting, mine has no place for any addresses apart from emergency contacts on last page.

As long as your passports will still be valid upon re-entry to OZ you should be fine, and make sure you have a 'return resident' visa stamp on it from OZ immigration.

Providing their visa is less than 5 years old it will still be current for travel in and out of Australia so no need for a RRV.

I check this out with the passport office before we moved here and they said there was no need to change the address as they could not put a overseas address in

British passports don't contain addresses (other than a part where you can write in your own if you wish)

Never noticed that before Although the passport office do keep a record of your address whichis what they must of ment when I phoned!!
