Default Party,any suggestions?

Ok, so we go in about 3 weeks and I want some sort of do before we go, did want a bash at our place but its going to be impossible for several reasons not least the fact that there is absolutely NO parking around our place and virtually everyone will be driving. There isnt any venues that I can find that are available and so I dont know what to do? Are you or do you know anyone else who is stuck like this and have you got any suggestions as to what we could do, mum said just tell people that we will be at the pub on certain time/day and hang around for people to come, but I did rather want something a little more organised like a party, any suggestions gratefully recieved!
-I know this is very last minute but have have major probs with the buyers (dont want to go into that)

Hi
For our leaving do we are going to the local liesure park for the day. We are going to go to the cinema, bowlng etc and end with a meal at the Outback restaurant. We will tell everyone were we are all day and then it is up to them if they come to one thing, two things or all three.

We had an all day/night open house, it was a great idea, and allowed us to spend time with people during the day, rather than having five minutes with each person at a noisey evening 'do'. People came and went throughout the day, and we had a great time. If we were doing it again, we would do exactly the same, and as everyone is arriving and departing at different times, it should solve your parking problems.

I love the idea of an open house but does that mean that you spend all day cooking and preparing food and tidying up afterwards? We want to see everyone and say goodbye ( not at the airport though, too stressful), but i want it to be the least hassle and work for me as well.
