Party
Ok parties are cool, parties are nice occasions, but to have music louder than a concert until after midnight is so not cool, we live a few doors away from the epicentre but the poor buggers next door must have been stone deaf or dead not to have been a little pissed off with there neighbors last night.
Ok it's only once since we have lived here, but come on THAT LOUD, and it sounded like they only had one record over and over and over again and again and again

This is common when you live in the outer suburbs of Perth.

Re: Party
We have extremely nice neighbours. Helpful (very) polite, all the rest of it.
But when they do let off, god it's loud.
I've heard it said that Aussies shout a lot when they talk. Our neighbours do.
I think they are deaf.
I think this is due to the over-abundance of two-stroke lawnmowers, edgers, whipper snippers and the like, which seem to go non stop somewhere around us.
Loud music at midnight? Lawnmowers at 7.30 am. Not sure which is worse really.

Re: Party
It is a pain when neighbours are inconsiderate. If it is a one off I just put up with it, if it was happening all the time then I would be cross. The family across the road if they are having a party come and tell us and buy us chocolates and apologise in advance.

Re: Party
We have to put up with the local pub's live bands on a Friday evening. Not too bad at this time of year when all the doors & windows are closed but in the summer months it can drown out the television.
Our choice to live here so can't really complain & we've kind of got use to it plus for some reason (& I haven't yet worked out how he does it) our youngest, who's bedroom is at the back of the house, sleeps through the lot so not disturbing him.
However I have only on the odd occasion actually managed to work out what the song is that's being performed. I do wonder whether the atmosphere in the pub makes the bands sound better than they do from our house
