We had our leaving party this weekend. we had an absolute ball. 50% of the guests dressed in Australian Fancy dress and looked great.

We are not leaving England for another 2-4 weeks yet so it wasn't a weepy party, we have all that to come:(

Sounds like a good idea doing it that way, we had ours a couple of nights before we left which wasn't too bad, but I used to live in Torquay and on the day that I left my mum and dad behind, I think I wept all they way to Bristol, which made for interesting driving..........Have been back to the UK 3 times since I have been here to visit my folks etc....and I can't say it goes away, but it does get easier everytime. I just always think to myself, they are only a day away, in fact the last time I was there in May 2003 it was 24hrs door to door on the way back.
Anyway congrats on a good party and good luck for your emigration.
