Default Parking in southport, gold coast

Does anyone have any bright ideas of where the best - cheapest - place to park in central Southport is?

Thanks

At the moment, Robina! Seriously it's a total fricking pain up there whilst all the light rail crap is happening. Aus Fair car park? Not been there for years, it's like Luton Arndale but the parking was free last time I was there.

I agree - Australia Fair would be the best for short term anyway. Its free for the first 3 hours and then $5 an hour after that.

Thanks, but I meant all day parking. I've found somewhere for $5 a day but I was hoping to find somewhere a bit cheaper?

I doubt if you'll get cheaper than that - unless you can find a free spot (ie. walking distance into Southport and park on a nearby residential street)

Mate, don't be so sensitive

I think the point people are trying to make is that $5 a day is pretty good (esp compared to Brissie rates).

Some people may be blunt but they are by and large honest and helpful.

Seriously, you want cheaper than $5 a day?

Try parking in Brisbane CBD on a weekday. I once got stung $45 fror 3 hours .

$5 is fantastic, be happy with it.

$15 (all day) over at QPAC is my favoured spot, the walk over the bridge is nice by and large. I am sometimes uber-lazy and take the train from their to Central if it's really stinky hot

Haven't been to the city for ages, I might go and do touristy things for a change.
