parent visa issue
I'm ready to apply for a contributory visa what I need to know, is it mandatory for a daughter to have lived in oz 2 years even though she is an Australian born citizen... If not, would a family (brother) cover as a sponsor being resident and born there. I orginally was a former resident but do not qualify because of my age. Former resident and close ties covers under 45 age group.
Would appreciate, other experiences or options how I could apply for other visa type.

The Balance of Family test has to be satisfied anyway - look at www.immi.gov.au for all the details.

For a parent contributory visa the sponsor has to be the child as far as I know.

I was reading "Sponsor" as "Assurer". RTFQ!
Actually, the DIMIA site DOES say "Generally" the child, although later on it says "Must". However, I'm wrong!
