paragliding in aus
Hi all I'm new to this site and I'm just about to get my visa application started. I've read many of the threads wich have been really helpful and answered a lot of my questions but there's one more thing I need to know.
If there's anyone out there who paraglides and has moved to aus holding a bhpa rating did you need to do further training or take an exam or anything to legaly fly in aus.

Can't exactly help but point you in right direction. OH is a glider pilot and we have investigated same issues for gliding. In some respects they are more relaxed in Oz especially about airspace - they have lots of it - in other respects are keen to ensure you fly their way
This site should help - but lots of things are done locally - so you need to get a club and take it from there. We found the local gliding club very helpful

Here's a picture of me taken from the BHPA web site which I founded and ran for several years...
