Just been quoted £645, for family of 2 adults, 1 15 yr old, and our 8 yr old daughter.

THis is to cover 1 x child med.
3 adult meds, 3 adult xray, 3 x blood test, 2 x blood test (me and hubby have a tattoo) 4 x postage .

To be honest, I think thats quite reasonable. I used to work in the private sector as a nurse and the consultants I worked with charged £110 per initial consultation which lasted not more than 10 minutes! thats without having any treatment or investigations!

We're having our meds done in Kingston, Surrey.
Here's what we've been told our charges are:-

(2 adults, 3 kids - 16,15 and 14)

X-Rays £70 each
Medicals - £100 per adult and for the 16 and 15 year olds.
£45 for the 14 year old.
£60 for the courier.

Total cost - £855

Hope Oz is worth it

With the panel Doctor in Bournemouth we paid £140 for 2 Xrays, £430 for 2 adults and 1 child, 2 blood tests (didn't have to pay extra for tattoos) 3 x postage, so that seems about right, I think the panel Doctor made about £2000 in the 1 hour that we were waiting, don't know how many more patients she dealt with that day. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. Good Luck

If you go to Dr. Million (St John Street) he is excellent, Medicals and X-rays all done under one roof. We had ours done there 405.00 for 2 adults I had to have hep B and Hep C as I work in medical field. If you don't hear from him within 7 days all is well and your meds are posted straight away. Our meds were signed for 3 days after he posted them to Sydney and 2 days after that our CO in Adelaide said she had received them so all done in less than two weeks. Money very well spent. He also keeps a copy of the meds for 1 year in case they get lost in transit, not many other GPs are doing this and there are horror stories of people's meds going missing and there are no copies.
I would go with Dr Million. Good luck in your decision

Just been quoted £70 for adults, £40 for kids, £50 per X-Ray, in Bristol. I think bloods are £30 and £10 each for courier.

I agree completely. We had no problems at all and he was excellent with the children 6 and 4.
