We're building our garden from scratch so are looking around everywhere for good quality at cheap prices. Kmart have a garden centre at Winsdor and when they have their 15% off everything sales that includes plants. They have lovely heliconias there. There's a place in The Gap (Nova) which has just opened a plant supermarket. They have some lovely cordylines very very cheap. We bought loads there but still need loads more.
Check out your local Bloomers nursery. Ours gives a 10% discount if you buy more than $200 worth at a time. Another local nursery advertises weekly specials in the local paper.
Also find out where your nearest Greening for Brisbane native nursery is. Ours is at The Gap and you can buy baby natives there for $1.50 each. Some of them are quite big too, and they won't take too long to grow big.
If you find anywhere else cheap let me know because we still need loads more.

Try raby bay nursery in ormiston(good place for palms) or wellington point nursery on main road...owners are very helpful, especially if you dont have a clue... like me!!
