Packing-How hard is it???
 

Just spent an hour scrubbing the soles of my shoes ready to disinfect for packing. My fingers are wrinkly and my nails are ragged.

And... I dropped a bloody designer shoe in the bath!!!!! :mad:

*Sigh* roll on Monday when the packers have come! And roll on Tuesday when they've gone as well! :(

will send you Karma. I am dreading when we have to start packing!!! We are taking a load of garden tools with us.. they have to be steam cleaned...what misery! And all my fragile things.. worried they will all get smashed in the transit.. :scared:

give you a little tip, trick of the trade, very fragile items , get some tissue paper or kitchen paper towel ,carefully wrap them ,and then seal them in your tupperware containers ,pots pans,[tape down lids], i packed an entire birds egg collection ,including ,emu/ostrich eggs like this ............mm :beer:

We're going with PSS. They have been excellent so far with advice and service. Just crossing fingers that it continues when they turn up on Monday and Tuesday.

We're not taking garden tools but we are taking our petrol mower. And garden furniture and things. Spent last weekend scrubbing the mud out of bike tyres and disinfecting them! I stink of Jeyes Fluid! Not the essential perfume for every Christmas do! :(

Gosh! Thanks for that idea. I'll get round to that sometime in the VERY near future then.

But first...the damn shoes. Why do I have so many???

Too late :D

Me: 2 pairs of trainers, 1 pair black shoes, 1 pair beach sandals, 1 pair motorbike boots.

Her: The entire contents of a medium-sized branch of Clarks.

Still, when you meet 'er indoors and realise that her Geordie/Aussie heritage has given her 4 feet at the end of each of her 3 legs, then it makes a little more sense.

We are considering PSS - they are on short list for proper quotes in January.

Not keen on the whiff of Jeyes fluid.. nasty stuff!!!
