Hello all,

We applied for PR visa in Jan 2001, we got the letter back confirming reciept about 3 weeks later.

My wifes the main applicant, she's a registered nurse, and is on the MODL so she passes the points test, we already had the skills assessment so that went with the main application.

I know that the current processing time is quoted as 9 months, but I've heard different stories on this, just wondered if anybody is going through a similar application and can share their experiences.

I write to someone in Aus who have a friend in UK going through the process at the moment and reckons they applied end of last year and have just been called for the medicals. Seems quite quick, are applications processed on a first come first serve basis? or are the more desirable ones looked at a bit quicker? Seems they could lose a lot of good applicants if they just process them as they are recieved.

Chris.

Sorry, can't help, though I see you've been in Australia since mid 2002 so you're probably OK now.
