Oz police foil terrorist attack
News here this morn is that 16 people have been arrested in more than one state in early morning police raids.
Ive only just turned tv on so thats all Ive got so far however the tv show on prime "sunrise" has extended its show to give more coverage so it must be quite big news.

another smokescreen to pull the wool over the australian publics eyes. apparently, none of those arrested in melbourne were due to plotting a terrorist attack.

but really these laws are to stop public demonstrations on IR.... really.
In fact -the best thing howard could do is let a terrorist attack occur, then say to Labour / ALP " See - you assholes , if you'd let us detain these people with our law then XX people wouldnt have died". That would guarantee him public support.

according to the accl, todays arrests could have been made under legislation that pre-existed the change in the law last week. but i doubt little johnnie will be letting that on to the gullible australian people.

What differance does it make?
As long as these idiots are off the streets thats what counts, I think ASIO & feds & state police did a good job.
