Oz Maps
Hi Guys,
I am bit of a saddo map anorak and couldn't help wondering if there is an equivalent organisation in Oz to our very wonderful Ordnance Survey (OS).
For those who are too familiar with OS, they produce highly detailed fold out maps showing everything like public footpaths, topographical contours, tracks, country public houses etc etc. These maps are especially used by civil engineers/transport strategists/armed forces/walkers/cyclists and any outdoorsy professionals. They have relatively small scale versions by going to http://www.getamap.co.uk/ and click on the green rectangle. Also don't you think that www.multimap.co.uk is better than www.whereis.com.au.
Is there anything like Ordnance Survey in Oz?
Thanks in advance.
Neil
