Oz Dollar How Much?
Can anyone tell me, is there a limit on the amount of Oz dollars (in cash) that you can take to Oz on your initial entry.Thanks

I do not know the answer, but..
Why would you want to carry lots of cash ?, there are safer alternatives, e.g. open
an Aus account and transfer money to it before you leave.

From my knowledge there is NO limit as long as you declare (over 10,000) from memory,
but I stand corrected

I think Robert is correct. But it is not sensible to carry a lot of money in cash
(risk of loss, theft etc). Take travellers cheques, or set up a bank account in
Australia and transfer the funds there directly.

Sue sorry about this but it might be nice if they said u can't bring that $10000000 then it might make the rest of us paupers feel adequate.
