I dont actually live there yet but I got qouted on a diesel pajero 2007 model in February for $450 fully comp. They said if I bring a letter from a reputable UK insurance company with my no claims on they will honor it. So I think $458 seems a tad high for a Focus, but still not that bad I suppose.

Surely depends on your age, location and driving history? I'm paying over $1,000 dollars so you can't really compare unless you know the specifics.

Try the website for 'Budget Direct' if you want the cheapest (although obviously not the best extras etc)

I found NRMA much more competitive than Allianz by about $100 per year.

We drive a 2008 Toyota Kluger and the annual premium (with 5 years no claim bonus) was $678 for comprehensive insurance.

My Honda CR-V (2004) is just up for renewal: last year's premium was $609 comprehensive FWIW.

Anyone else find it strange that they don't send any kind of receipt, or cover note when you pay online? I query it every year and they say "yes, you're paid up" - but apart from my credit card statement I have no confirmation.

Im paying $700 on a subaru WRX, thats fully comp with a $400 excess and protected no claims! Thats with allianz! It would be a least that in pounds in the uk. They also wernt botherd about seeing my full no claims from the uk, just took my word for it!

Seem like a good company to me?!

I have a brand new Mazda 2 and i pay $275 fully comp, my hubby drives on old Ford Falcon and it costs him $350 fully comp. They have honored our Protected no claims from the UK, as we were able to provide documents from our insurance.

Happy hunting..
