We are going through the "trying to find the best way to transport everything" stage at the moment. But we will get there.
after a hard few months, everything is sorted (nearly) and we are of in Aug '03
Bring it on.

Re: OZ Bound
Yes, I agree. There was no internet in the days when thousands of us from the U.K. emigrated to Aus. and N.Z. in the early 60's on the Ten Pound Deal.
We arrived in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Auckland with little more than the suitcases in our hands. Most of us were not coming out to jobs, houses, or relatives...it was the toughest thing we'd ever experienced.
The families who fared the best were the ones who were escaping dire poverty
and slum conditions from Glasgow, Liverpool, London etc., life in the new country was infinitely better than what they had known.
Things have changed for the better since those days...and thanks to the internet and websites like this, we can exchange information, and usually find someone who will answer questions.
It still takes courage to leave your country and all that's familiar, so hope you find some answers to your questions, as well as sound advice, support and encouragement for the adventure that you are about to embark on.
Keelie.
