on our way soon
Hi everyone,I'm new to this so you will have to bear with me.Anyway we are leaving for Oz in 9 days for a 4 week holiday(my wife and I and the two children)and I have to say that we can't wait. Its our first time and for me its somewhere that I have always wanted to go and eventually end up living there,my wife's not as keen as me but I hope after the holiday she will see what a great place Australia is to bring up our young family. We are going to Melbourne,Sydney,Brisbane and then Cairns,so if anyone's got any suggestions for things to do as a family in these areas I would be very greatfull, all the best to eveyone Mark.

Good choices there Steve.
Cairns - Lagoon, Kuranda railway (take the train up and the skyrail back down, it also has a little village at the top) and as steve said you must do the barrier reef. Lake Placid (not the same one as the film) for a free swim, it has small boats and a cafe on site.
Brisbane - Southbank, a lagoon in the centre of brisbane. Also do the night market at southbank.
Gold Coast - the theme parks of course. We also did the whale watching for my birthday, great day out for all the family.
