We moved over last July and when the wife asked about doctors records, she was told they belong to the UK health service, but we paid 40 quid and our doctors surgery photocopied all of our records and gave them to us. We had to give them a few days notice to do it, but they were very helpful. When we found a doctors we liked here on the Gold Coast, we just gave them our notes. Try asking your doc if he would do the same for you. It might cost you something, but it is easier to be able to give the new doctors something than trying to remember problems that you may have had in the past. Hope this is of some help.

You don't need your UK medical records here. No one is interested, unless you have a serious or unusual condition.

They want your dental records even less. My dentist here in Aus said the best dental records are.... your teeth.

Bring your child's immunisation records though, they are important.
