I just wanted to just tell the this lovely “community “
our so very much loved and adored Aussie mini poodle passed away on 07/02/23 she was a couple of weeks away from being 18 years of age and from the day we collected her from Thornlie WA she made our house a true home never had “my boys” had the best ball girl ie cricket, football and tennis ball,
she use to beat them hands down at running and could keep up with them when swimming together, my stoic husband cried when she past away (something our boys have never witnessed before) I will miss the only other “girlie” in the house with me although she was a real tomboy (just like me lol) our oldest son use to say that if she was a human female she would be just perfect for him lol,she also passed away very peacefully sounded by us as in life she even did that kind honour for us, she was our connection to Australia and our life there and that makes me feel all at sea. Anyway I hope you all do not mind me posting this it’s been a help just to write is down. X

Aw Brits, I am so sorry to hear that. Those little puddy paws make their indelible marks on your heart dont they? But she had an amazing life and was obviously surrounded by love right up to her last breath so you know she will be gambolling over the rainbow bridge, back to being a puppy. Doesnt make the hurt any easier knowing that you gave her a great life but, be proud, you did!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I always think that pets are an amazing addition to our lives, but the downside is that we have to say goodbye to them and that's unbelievably painful. They are such an integral part of any family.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Christmasoompa has said it all better than I could. I feel for you. You very obviously gave her a great life and she brought you much joy.
My thoughts are with you.

Sad time for you. We lost two beloved cats last year, Mortimer and Moose, both long with us and deeply loved throughout their long lives - Morty departed after 15+ years with us and Moosie was at least 18 as he turned up on our doorstep as an adult.
Cats are not dogs, but they as much as dogs bring so much joy into our lives, and they know so well how to work their way into our hearts, leave an indelible impression, and when they are no longer here are remembered with many fond thoughts and remembrances of small events in their lives which gladdened ours.
Fortunately for us, we have the consolation of three others, Oskar, Ozi and Ojai, aged 12, 6 and 5 respectively. All rescued from miserable existences and given a new home with loving parents and feline siblings. They too miss the two Ms as much as we do.
Usually I would suggest you get another "baby" soon, but this is entirely your choice. Some of us prefer to grieve longer than others.

Grieving takes its own time. Let it run its course, then consider a new 'baby' to enhance your life and give you welcome company on your walks.
A new home and love will give you a friend for another lifetime to share your experiences with.
You will know when he time has come to get a new one.
They live such short lives compared to us and they leave us entirely too soon. We never forget them.
