My son came home with a letter from the school dental bus today recommending he sees an orthodontist, I have heard some scary stories about waiting lists and prices, he does not need immediate attention so willing to wait. Does anyone know roughly how much braces /retainers cost and if u could recommend an orthodontist on the Gold Coast.

I think there is one in Beenleigh that is cheaper than the rest, although, I do not know how good they are. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT orthadontist, try Dr Bill Medland at Benowa, he is fantastic, but he comes at a price

We are coming out to the Gold Coast in January - my 15 year old son already has a fixed brace top and bottom - anyone able to give me any information on this reagrding cost etc for his 6 weekly check ups.

Son has had top and bottom braces done at a cost of, wait for it............




$5000!!!!!


He had 4 teeth extracted in the UK ready for Uk brace treatment only to find when we got here that there was no need to have then taken out


The othodontist we use have been brilliant, well impressed and now 14 months down the line sons teeth look great X
