Hi all,
Im starting a new job in auz that is in Ormeau, and will be flying out in 3 weeks. Do any of you know this area well? what is it like? I have seen a place in Jacobs Ridge in Ormeau.
Just trying to get as many peoples views as possible

we haven`t really heard any negative things about ormeau.its at the quieter end of the coast and is supposed to be an `up and coming`area.i dont think you could go wrong with jacobs ridge,see if you can find somewhere to rent on there first.

ormeau is not a bad place to live, we live about 10 min up the M1, it is quite a quite suburban area but you have GC 20 one way and brisbane 30min the other and behind you the hinterland with some really nice rain forests. good luck
