- East coast cities, tasmania, sailing course and diving at whitsundays / Great Barrier reaf

- something a little more sophisticated than Uni Fresshers week backpacker style but not 5 star hotels either

oh and I want the experience of a lifetime guarenteed please

Havn't done organised tours. We travelled around on our own and we had a great time. It will probably take more work but I'd recommend you do it yourself. Ask on the forum about specific things you wanna do and places you wanna go. Get the holiday you want that way and most likely cheaper to.

Looks like you'll be doing a lot of websurfing first.

Here's a start: www.greyhoundadventures.com/

I've taken a tour from the US to Australia, which included Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda (Rainforest), Ayers Rock (Uluru), and Alice Springs. It included all deluxe hotels, some meals, internal flights, various tours/excursions, and ground transporation by coach or train.

It was WONDERFUL and definitely the experience of my LIFETIME!

Hope you have a few months. Doing all of that I would want to hire a car and DIY it. Bugger the tours.
