Everything helped me actually- the forum helped me applying for the visa, shipping all my stuff and knowing what to expect when we got here.
The only thing I kind of disagree with ( but this is just a Tassie perspective ) is that everyone said that is it very expensive to buy furniture here and that it is better to ship stuff. We actually found loads of nice and fairly cheap stuff and wished we had only shipped a few bits as we have ended up with stuff that we didnt really like anymore as we thought we wouldnt be able to buy new when we got here.
