Open University Qualifications?

Open University Qualifications?
I'm not sure where the best place to put this question is so I'm going to post it here
I am looking at the option of taking a Masters Degree with the Open University. I've always planned to do a Masters at some stage and this route seems ideal because I can study along side working full time. Anyway my question is…
Is an Open University Masters considered (by Ozzie universities/employers) to be the same as if I had done the Masters in a ‘brick’ university?
Any Ideas?
Thanks

at 3.15 am and watch a Roy wood lookalike calculating the atom
would think similar or much the same

I think what is being said here is that a Masters is a Masters and will be accepted as such. OU is a well recognised Uni and I don't think you'll have any problems.

Edited
Sorry - it will definitely be considered "as good as" a Masters from a brick uni for immigration purposes. I don't know how employers may view it but would guess it would be similar to the UK.

Re: Open University Qualifications?
To be honest I don't need it for my visa application I just thought having a Masters in Education might look better on my CV when applying for teaching work in Oz
Its something I've always planned on doing in the future anyway but I was going to take a year out from teaching at some point to return to university but this way I can teach in the day and study at night

OU is regarded internationally as one of the best Universities in the world - it is ranked in the top three in the UK, often beating oxford or cambs

The OU is a good university - better than many in the U.K. - but I don't think it falls into the Oxbridge league, irrespective of particular survey findings.
