oooh Mrs Dagboy!!
Ohh you are naughty! I had lunch with a friend of mine yesterday who is from Brisbane and I happened to ask her what Dag meant - well, she could not stop laughing at first and then proceeded to tell me that it is something to do with sheeps bum bums and poo poo etc (this is a family forum!!) is it true Mrs dagboy?

The proper response is not "Ooooh, you are naughty" but "Oooh, you are such a dag!".
The meaning of this can vary. If said with a smile, take it as read that we still love you. As we do, Mrs Dagboy.
On the other hand, if you are an overly persistent, spot-ridden youth without any visible friends, you may assume your approach is not successful and you should go away and seriously work on your social skills.
As I understand it, a Dagboy is employed in the shearing shed to cut away the dirty end of the fleeces once the sheep have been shorn and the wool is being classed.

Wow, its so nice to know that someone missed me . Have been out all day, & have just got home.
Dagboy is called that because he is always telling jokes & generally being funny. Yes, a dag is somethig to do with flyblown sheeps rear end LOL, but its also someone whos a bit of a ham/comic/clown. Dag just got boy added to the end in this case, it wasnt because he works in shearing sheds
