Default ONE YEAR OR TWO

good morning
quick question to settle my confusion.

if i was going to do a teaching qualfication for secondary school in australia with the hope of settling in oz once qualified do i need to do a one year or two year programme to be eligible for visas?

You mean as a PGCE after your degree? One. But then you might want to get your NQT year under your belt as well.

All teachers in Australia have to be 4 year trained ie degree plus 1 at least.

sorry i have not explained myself

i have been researching graduate diploma and master teaching courses in australia

i have a 3 yr degree already here in uk but want to do teacher training and move to australia.

what i am wondering is if the one year graduate diploma course is enough to secure a visa on completion to stay and work. or do i need to spend 2 yrs studying full time.
