Default One way travel insurance

Does anyone know anyone who offers oneway travel insurance mainly for baggage on flight over and maybe a few days when we arrive? Thanks in advance.

We used these guys
http://www.direct-travel.co.uk/

The most they could do was 17days insurance but the cover was good

We used GoWalkabout. They were able to insure us for well over a week after we arrived in Oz.

Other companies I tried would only insure us for the travelling and ran out once we set foot on Oz soil.

Check with the insurance company first as to how long they will cover you once you land in Oz.

Go Walkabout - we got a months cover internationally as we spent three weeks travelling around Thailand, got real good cover too for diving, laptop, jewellry etc.

Also had the week initial cover when we landed in oz too - mind you got medicare cover in under 48 hours.

Careful folks, duinsure have this in their FAQ's:

I am travelling on a 1 way ticket. Does my cover finish when I reach my destination?
No, unless you are emigrating or the country that you are travelling to is the country of your passport. Provided it is your intention to return to the UK, cover will continue for the duration of your policy, subject to the total duration limit of 550 days.

And for direct-travel "How do you define "UK resident"?

Our policies are only available to UK residents who we define as: "a person who has their main home in the United Kingdom and who is registered with a medical practitioner in the United Kingdom".

The United Kingdom is - England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Can't find a company in Ireland offering this. How would they know you were on a 1 way ticket if you just had a normal / annual policy?
