Qantas also were doing the same deal recently, perhaps contact both airlines directly and ask.

we ended up paying around £370 for one way to Perth with Singapore Airlines. It was actually cheaper through Trailfinders than SA for this day, however two days before SA had been cheaper than trailfinders so it pays to shop around.
Don't forget to collect your airmiles!!

Try e-bookers and Emirates airlines, which month are you travelling? A couple of days can make a big difference in the cost.

There are one way fares listed with Singapore Airlines and Malaysian Airlines for around 373 GB Pounds from now until mid-December with:
http://www.leestravel.co.uk (a consolidator for many Asian airlines).
You have to send an e-mail to them for best one-way prices with Cathay Pacific, Thai, Korean Airlines, Emirates etc.

BTW, if you fly to/from the US on United Airlines, you get to carry two bags of 70 lbs (32Kgs) per passenger. You can carry the same to Australia from the US too. I have confirmed that with United Airlines.

I think, if I am reading keyurlavingia's post right, you get 64kg's per person....
Going via singapore is a much shorter option....but we have gone that way, so we wanted to try something different...and for only an extra £100 something we get a 2 week holiday in Florida...
was just given as an option...
