One way flights
Any good links for one way flights? Most places I've tried don't price them any cheaper than returns.
Ideally I'd like to go via the U.S. for the extra baggage allowance.
Looking at late June.
Thanks,
Paul

That sounds great but I can't find it on the BA web site - do you have a link?
Thanks,
Paul

I work for a travel company but today is my last day ring up a branch of flightcentre or trailfinders and ask for ba/qantas fare
via the pacific to oz they will have the same contract im sure.
Going on airlines websites is genrally not the cheapest way of
buying longhaul travel.

I have recently booked return flights at a competitive price with BA/Qantas through them so maybe if you give them a call they can supply a decent quote.

One wayers, open jaws and round the worlds are difficult to get on the net without being offered luducrously priced full fair tickets. Research the itininerary you want and ring around a few travel agents.
As mentioned by COSTY the airlines direct are rarely cheaper than going through an agent.
austravel, flight centre, travelbag and trailfinders are some of the biggest. You will have to prompt them for the deals because agents are often incentivised to direct you to certain airlines.

Try this consolidator with the Asian airlines - they have a good reputation:
http://www.leestravel.co.uk
For a one-way fare it's best to phone and ask for their best prices.
Also Air Pacific, the airline of Fiji has very cheap fares from LA to the Aussie east coast cities + Melbourne as my friend has just flown from New York to Sydney with them. (They code-share with American Airlines):
http://www.airpacific.com or ask a travel agent for their fares with this airline.

Re: One way flights
I'm curious - is there anything to stop me buying a return ticket and just
not using the return part? I've already done a validation trip so there's
no issue with losing the migrants luggage allowance.
(I guess I was spoilt by the £96 trip I got to Sydney with Austravel in
January).

Try www.ebookers.com and get an agent to price match.
