We need to store our stuff from our 20ft container for one month.
We were a bit shocked at the price so thought I'd share it with you so you can budget for it in case you also have to store you stuff.

Storage handling fee: $450
Storage rental $73 per week

As a basis for comparison, we are also storing (for 12 months) in Melbourne. Our shipping was performed by PSS in the UK and handed over to OSS in Melbourne. Half a 20 foot container.

We are using Chess Moving in perth, half a 20ft container £113 per month.

Your getting ripped off and cost limited to $50 per week (based on us storing full contents from our 20 foot container) We are currently only using a quarter at a cost of $13 per week.

Try and find "Kent" storage and shipping - they are brilliant.

Hi,
Our stuff is currently being shipped by John Masons, (kent moving) and should arrive 22nd July. Do you know how long it would take to clear customs? Our stuff will also need to go into storage, we don't arrive in Perth until 16th August, and probably will need to leave stuff in storage until end of September.

'Whites' gave up to three months free storage when we used them just over two years ago (all part of their package) - for anyone at this stage it might be worth an enquiry.

Now you're going to laugh - it is Kent we're using!

To ship and store our stuff has cost over $12000. Luckily sponsoring company has paid but we still lost out because none of the relocation money was left over for us claim our flights back.
