Once grant letter received - how long for processing?
Hi,
We applied for a visa subclass 139 (designated area sponsor) and lodged our bond in October however we are still waiting for a grant letter! When we finally get this, and hopefully it will be soon.., how long do you get to sent your passport off and how long does it normally take to process?
We are going away 24th Feb and need our passports so now wondering if we will be able to do this in the time left or if we will have to wait / can wait?? Obviously this will be dependent on when we get the visa but assuming it will come in the next week we would like to know if this is going to be a problem. Any help would be much appreciated
cheers
Maggie and John

When we got our grant letter, we sent off our passposts, along with a copy of the letter the day after we got it. We sent them from East Kilbride, (just south east of Glasgow), and had the passports with the visas inside, back within the week.
Cheers.. John...

thanks for that, does anyone know if there are any time restriction for sending your passport off. Does this need to be sent off within 30 days from date of issue or anything?
