OMG We are finally here

OMG We are finally here
After a very long 2 ½ years, three house sales falling through, lots of deliberating whether or not this was a good idea and plenty of tears shed, we are finally here.
Arrived at Brisbane on Sunday morning feeling very upset about leaving family back in the UK, at one point we nearly missed the plane to Singapore because the emotions where running so high. We are very lucky to have some family out here to meet us at the airport, it gave us a good boost. Thanks to a very positive Scots man sat on the plane next to us who told us that he had done the same 6 years ago and would never go back to GB to live (it was his first trip back in 6 years).
We have now got a mobile phone and bank sorted out, just need to get a house and car.
I start work in 2 weeks so it is going to be a hectic time for us ahead.
To all those going through a ruff time, it will all work out in the end, you will have times when you doubt whether you are doing the right thing, that is only natural, its is a very scary thing to give up every thing that you know for something that you don’t.
Be prepared for the worst bit though, which is saying good bye at the airport.

Hi & welcome to Brisbane we stayed in Brisbane when we first came over, we now live on the Gold Coast and loving every minute of it.
I know what you mean by the goodbyes though that was the hardest for us as well, I was glad to get them over with.
