Default OMG Hervey Bay!

Well you know OZ you go where the work is, partnres work for 2006 is looking strongly like HERVEY bloody BAY.

Pluses, land is cheap as nuts.
Major project good money blah blah

Minus,
4 hour drive from brisbane
kids are almost teenage, nothing there for them really, certainly no future prospects.
No surf, we surf, no surf
Nothing to do there for me, well nothing you cant cover in one weekend
I dont have 2 heads and dont want to marry my cousin
Its going north that must mean hotter.
I'm a bit young for gods waiting room.

Anybody living there want to convince me this could be the opportunity of a lifetime

Is moving to hervey bay reasonable grounds for a divorce?

I've got three good reasons for going to live there:
1]The fishing is excellent
2]Loads of work going on.
3]O.K I lied about the third
Solicitors are page numbers 1333-1363 in the yellow pages

Was good for a day's whale watching but not sure if I'd like to be there for good, smacked a bit of Blackpool to us on a minor scale. Paulb went there for interview and drove straight back home didn't want to live there either.

But if that is where the job is could start there and move else where after the divorce, at least it gets you in the country... .

Give it 10 years and it will be exactly like the sunny coast, but without surf.

Its only 45mins to Rainbow Beach if you are desperate

God knows what type of nuts you buy !!!

oh, and its only 3 hours to Brisbane

We went there at the weekend and quite frankley the place is beautiful if you are a tourist. However, from what I saw of the real estate prices it is pretty bloody expensive to live there. There are loads of backpackers and hippies etc which gives it a laid back feel but still not sure I would want to live there.

The sunny coast would be my choice if you wanted a similar type of town ie Caloundra, Mooloolaba (also pricey).

the worst pint of cafferys i've ever had was in hervey bay.

but you can go over the other side of fraser island and surf - if you don't mind sharing the water with the sharks

Ah ha, someone knows the area, everyone raves about fraser island, yet its covered in signs now, dont swim sharks!! not an idle warning either. Besides hate that place the mosquitoes are deadly, have never been bitten through every insect repellant before. Anyway at christmas easter etc the beaches are so packed with cars you might as well be on a motorway.

Just looking at flights, hervey bay doesnt even seem to do cheap flights to bris its def cheap compared to sunshine coast tho, reasonable acerage looks a third of the price!

Hervey bay theres loads for around the 400, sunshine coast you can get 500 but it would be stickville, where we like near the beach and private schools stuff goes on around the million and sells within weeks, needless to say we havent bought one, block of land in tanawah is 600 for one acre no house! Last month they were 500 but 2 sold in days so the next dude wants 600.
