OKAY DECISION ON SHIPPERS IS MADE BUT DID ANYONE GET MOLD OR MILDEW ON ANY ITEMS
Well as it says in the title really - basically do I need extra insurance to cover this possible eventuality?

My stuff was packed and shipped in early October. Sat on the wharf in Brisbane from Xmas Eve to mid February, due to a backlog caused by the Christmas shut-down and none of it got mouldy or mildewy

YES, YES and YES. I had a number of items covered with mould. Photo's of the mould and insurance paid. I had more trouble with damaged items. Mould is a given - if there's mould on it they pay.

Letton Percival automatically covers mould and mildew in items.

We had a couple of items that were quaranteened and washed. Once that had been done it took us a week to organise transport to go and pick the items up. They had all be left wet and a number of the items were so mouldy that they had to be thrown away. The company paid for those. Otherwise, everything else was fine, the company did a good job in wrapping individual pieces with little air chambers.
