Applications are split into regions based on where you are applying from. It used to be that some were slower than others depending on whether the country was high risk or not (they usually go through more checks). UK applications are split between the regions, so if you were put in a region that was used to dealing with high risk countries it could take longer to process as the CO may have done extra checks on your application.
However I do believe that is not the case anymore, so don't worry about it
