Don't worry jtimkey, I have changed my mind about going many times since first putting in the application, and no doubt will change my mind again before actually going . Currently I want to go!

What all the houses are Pooh in the UK rental market or Pooh in Oz!?

Oz has some nice properties but like the UK you get what you pay for. Better to change her mind now before it's to late and you end up shipping all your stuff back to the UK after a few months!!! But good luck whichever way it turns out!!

This sounds like some of the properties we looked at when we first arrived here!!! lol

Some of them looked like an old 1970's caravan inside!! Honest!! Bright orange carpets and yellow kitchens, brown wooden doors with green lino everywhere!

You will be looking at $250 a week plus for somewhere decent in Perth

Perfectly normal IME to feel elated about upping sticks one minute, then 'there's NO way I'm going' the next. Most people feel that way before any big life change (most commonly, that of getting married!) & it's just human nature to be scared of change.

I also have pics on my wall of a certain politician (naming no names), an M25 traffic line & a broken-down train to help me over the 'no way I'm going' moments

Where are you headed? Maybe putting her in touch with some of the nice ladies in this forum, located near where you are going, might help - give her the feeling that there's new pals to meet & adventures to have, too.

Good luck to ya both anyway, it's not an easy thing to do, but I'm sure it'll be OK in the end....

Anya.
