I finally came on here after nearly 10 months, and I am bewildered at some of the shennanigans that go on.

Please if you have a problem, dont let it interrupt nice friendly forum banter.

Instead take it private, or ask the MODS to set up a NO HOLDS BARRED area so you can fight , Gloves off :)

After a real hard day at work, like most of you, I like to come on here, and gloat to people that I am one of the lucky ones now in this beautiful country.

Yes I gloat, and i make no bones about it, im proud to have got where I am, and bloody dont give a rats arse, who knows.

I applaud everyone , who makes such a bold step, and to completely knock "what they know and trust" for the unknown..

Yes the Unknown, but alas, the forum is here to dispel some of that uncertainty.

For a brief moment, breathe, and smile... then think of the new guys joining the forum, give them a chance, and for gods sake this is OPEN forum not the Fight Club for mebers only.

Do you know what the sad thing is about all this, I spend more time communicating via PM/E-mail than posting these days :(

WHY? Because more often that not when you open your mouth on here you get your head stood on or some arsehole of a troll decides to leave his bridge and be an arse.

YES, this has always been around but the amount of time this happens and the severity is just getting worse.

RESULT, the Forum will just not exist, the input will just not happen and those that genuinely need help and support will not come on.

In a utopian world, before making a post or deliberately setting out to offend or abuse and upset someone, folks would think before doing it. Someone might be having a bad day, going though a tough time and genuinely be miserable.
I would advise, if you knew what this person was going through, would you be so quick to destroy their day or make them feel bad?

Judging from SOME of the posters on here i doubt they really give a toss about anyone apart from their own ego, or have the intelligence to know when to keep schtum!

Yea fine, respect each other, don't feed the trolls etc etc - but what's with the gloating? That's just as negative in its own way. I'm a passport holding dual-national with aussie parents, but you don't see me dropping into people's visa threads and saying "Hahaha - all this trouble that I don't have to go through. Sucker!". Man, it swings both ways you know, don't become what claim to hate.
