I work for an Engineering Consultancy firm in Perth and they are looking for Electrical Engineers who would be interested in joining us.
I joined as an Administrator in February this year and really enjoy working here but have difficulty recruiting due to the skills shortage.
The company I work for do the electrical/communications/security engineering consultancy and currently have a high Pom staff ratio and looking for more interested parties. Happy to train in on relevant Australian standards etc.
If this is posted in the wrong place - apologies as not sure how the etiquette works on this site.
If anyone has any questions they are welcome to PM or email me.

OH works in oil industry as a drilling engineer, just got a job in adelaide with salary $130K + Super + Health benefits etc. Expense account too for entertaining clients. Been told this will see us ok, so here's hoping. Been told it is relatively cheaper too live in Adelaide compared to the other major cities.

Mining, oil and gas industries are booming off the scale in Perth. Salaries are high and still rising due to massive skill shortage.

It's a gravy train at the moment.

Not a huge amount of PDMS work but there are a couple of companies who use it. My husband is a PDMS Administrator and I know his place is always on the lookout for good designers.

Although, if you would rather not disclose all your personal details, just popdown what you are happy with people knowing, I'm sure it would be a help.

My husband is a plumber. He is getting anywhere between $20 to $35 per hour and we are told that is really good money for a plumber. A guy he works with gets $35.00 because he has his licence - but we think the wages don't go far - the cost of living seems a lot higher than in the UK, our shopping bill and rent alone take up his whole wage and then been told my daughter's braces will cost $6500 is just so out of our reach on his wages and good private health care wouldn't be covered by his wages either. Is it just us or is anyone else finding it very expensive here? Is it cheaper in different states; we'd really like to try Queensland or Perth for the better climate but we don't want to go somewhere that is dearer than Melbourne.
